Current Situation

Victor M. R. Penichet received his Ph.D. from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in November 2007. He received his degree in Computer Science from the same University in June 2003, where his Ph. D. was done within the doctoral program “Arquitectura y Gestión de la Información y del conocimiento en sistemas de red” (quality mention from ANECA), funded by Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha (2004-2007).

His current research is about Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and its methodological aspects according to the Software Engineering. As a result of his research there are some publications in several national and international conferences. He is involved in various research projects in collaboration with some other universities. His PhD Thesis is called TOUCHE (Task-Oriented and User-Centred Process Model for Developing Interfaces for Human-Computer-Human Environments) and received the Cum Laude qualification, Doctor Europeus.

He has been working in universitary educational issues in the Superior School of Software Engineering, UCLM, since 2003/04: associated lecturer, assistant lecturer, conferences, lecturer in the Master in Web Technologies. In March 2009, he got the accreditation to be Assistant Professor. He also teaches in the Master in Human-Computer Interaction at University of Lleida and in the Master in Legal Aspects of Disability at the Law Faculty at the UCLM.

He belongs to the Laboratory of User Interaction and Software Engineering (LoUISE) of the Research Institute in Computer Science of Albacete (I3A) at the same University.

For a year and a half, he worked in a private enterprise as projects coordinator, analyst, enterprise coordinator, developers group coordinator, and Administration consultant. He has participated in several I+D+i projects.

From June 2005 to January 2006 is working in the Institute of Information Science and Technologies (ISTI) at the Italian National Research Council (CNR) with Dr. Fabio Paternò. The stay is funded by the European ADVISES TMR.
